Today we’d like to introduce you to Alicia Galo. They and their team shared their story with us below:
In 2018 Alicia Galo and Oscar Funes Aranda generate the proposal to provide all-in-one, internal administrative and technological solutions to one of the most beautiful industries in the world: Gastronomic Art, such as restaurants.
During that time both working within the gastronomic industry, where the magic of flavor and the administrative side not often seen happens, team structures, processes, and team building. At the same time, they were observing and creating requirements (idea) to easy the management of the restaurant. Both having a passion for processes and simplifying tasks they saw the need of many restaurants to have access to technology but not expensive of with a low quality, they need simple tools that have everything in one from schedules, trainings, costs, access to their finances and much more without been physical in the workplace. Their idea was to make simple things to help restaurant owners and their administrative team who are growing with technology and those who are learning to use it.
By the beginning of 2020, Edith Gastelum, with extensive experience in customer service on the commercial side and Hector Toro as CTO, restaurant owner and development expert in the direction of the technical team, joined the team. Thus became the pandemic (COVID) the opportunity to create all the designs and start with the programming, joining the team in this interval Marvin Toro and the rest of the technical team.
Two clients that gave us the first opportunity. Las Originales Bar & Grill https://www.lasoriginalesbarandgrill.com in Palmdale California, a restaurant with more than 22 years of presence in the market.
Guanatos tacos https://www.guanatostacos.com in the city of Santa Clarita as a totally new project, but after 3 years we have had the honor of having them as our clients, and we have seen them grow to 5 branches.

For now, all our customers are in California, but we hope soon to be expanded to other states and countries. The road has not been easy, but the experience is beautiful, especially because we see the acceptance and satisfaction of our customers, the way we are supporting them in their administrative tasks in a very practical, efficient, and simple way that helps them to grow.
Our mission goes beyond offering IT solutions, we want to help this beautiful and complex industry and its wonderful people who really make magic in one of the most complex jobs if you work manually.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It has not been easy; we formalize our business in the middle of the pandemic, but our team has remained firm and positive and with an enormous will to be the number one option for the gastronomic field. Our obstacles became a strength as we taught our clients how to use technology for online meetings which helps to save money and time in transportation. We are confident and we will continue to show the benefits of Athoz as an online administrative platform.
